15 June 2011 (09:10)
A monument dedicated to the king of pop will be unveiled in Yekaterinburg on June 25, 2011; the initiative was put forth by Invincible (Michael Jackson’s Russian fan club) a year ago.
For one, Yekaterinburg has already got a Michael Jackson wall next to the Beatles monument. Michael Jackson’s admirers gather there on regular basis, while the fan club rehearses the dances inspired by his video clips. In fact, several monuments dedicated to Michael Jackson have been introduced in Europe since 2009.
Now all fans will have a new place to get together. This is going to be Russia’s first monument to the king of pop.
The statue will be installed in the pedestrian Vainer St. opposite Greenwich Mall.
