UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 12, 2016. The number of newly issued international travel passports decreased by 59.2% in the four months of 2016 compared with one year earlier, Sverdlovsk Region division of Russia’s Federal Migration Service informed UrBC.

The Service provided Russian citizens with 43,735 passports in January-April 2015 and with 17,841 passports in the four months of 2016.

‘The demand dropped by 60% against last year, which has to do with the current state of the Russian economy and the international status quo,’ the Service explains.
