Ural Vagon Zavod’s Employees Get Defense Ministry Awards

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 1, 2016. Eight employees of Omsk Transport Machine-Building Plant (a member enterprise of Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation) received the Russian Federation Defense Ministry Awards, the company press service reports.

The plant’s Director-General Igor Lobov was given the For Strengthening Military Cooperation Medal for his great personal contribution to strengthening military cooperation and helping the Russian Armed Forces achieve its goals. Head of the Serial Production Department Alexei Khoroshaylo and engineer/technician Alexander Lizunov received the For Labour Valor Medals.

Omsktransmash Head of Department Dmitri Ageyev and Senior Design Engineer Leonid Pshevlotsky were given the Mikhail Kalashnikov Medal for their innovations in the design, production, and launch of modern arms and military vehicles.

In addition to this, by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, the plant’s Chief Engineer Yuri Mishchenko, Deputy Director-General for Sales & Marketing Vassiliy Kovalev, and Chief Special Vehicles & Civil Goods Designer Boris Yeremenko were awarded the For Distinguished Service in the Land Forces Medals for their personal merits, clever initiatives, conscientious work performance, and helping the Russian Federation Land Forces achieve its goals.
