Yekaterinburg Engineer behind Bulava Gets 8 Years in Prison for Espionage

Sverdlovsk Region Court pronounced the verdict of guilty upon Alexander Gniteyev; the man was found guilty of state treason through espionage (Article 275 of Russia’s Criminal Code). Gniteyev was sentenced to eight years in a strict-regime penitentiary establishment, a 100,000-RUR fine, and one year of supervised release when he cannot change his place of residence or leave the town where he resides without the permission of an authorized state body; he’ll also have to visit the said state body two times a month. 50 Ural Investors to Take Part in Facebook’s IPO

The lead managers of Facebook’s IPO are going to consider the bids for purchasing a stake in the world’s largest social network. BCS and Finam, who processed the bids, told Kommersant that the Ural investors had submitted several scores of them. X5 Retail Group’s Net Profit Goes Down 31.6%

The net profit of X5 Retail Group, Russia’s largest retail company (in terms of sales), went down by 31.6% in January-March 2012 compared with a year earlier. Uralvagonzavod Owes over 3.82bn RUR in Overdue Debt

Uralvagonzavod Scientific Production Corporation’s total debts come to 25.84bn RUR, including 3.82bn RUR worth of overdue debts.
