Ural Airlines serves 1.5 million passengers in twelve months

OAO Ural Airlines came up with a performance report for November and the eleven months of 2010 recently.

The company served 1,678,999 passengers in January-November 2010, which was 21% better than a year earlier. The airline has reached such a turnover for the first time since it was set up. 636,942 passengers used the company’s international flights, 784,211 people flew around Russia, and 257,846 people flew to and from the CIS member states.

As for the month of November, the passengers turnover went up as well and reached 115,430 passengers, which was 9% better than a year earlier. The number of people who used international, domestic, and within-the-CIS flights came to 28,305, 55,717, and 31,408, respectively.

Ural Airlines operated 15,107 flights in January-November 2010, which exceeded the number of flights operated a year earlier by 2,620, or 21%. This number included 4,704 international flights, 7,728 domestic flights, and 2,675 flights operated to or from the CIS member states.

As for the month of November, the company operated 235 international flights, 722 domestic flights, and 316 flights around the CIS. These results could be achieved due to the introduction of a new Yekaterinburg-Istanbul flight, a new flight to Hainan, and an additional (third) weekly flight from Yekaterinburg to Beijin. What is more, some new domestic flights were launched as well, for example, one more evening flight from Yekaterinburg to Moscow. In addition, the airline re-launched its Ufa-Baku flight. All in all, 1,273 flights were operated by the carrier in November 2010.

In terms of cargo, the airline handled 8,178 tons in January-November 2010, which exceeded the figures for a year earlier by 43%, and 996 tons of airmail, which exceeded the figures for a year earlier by 69%. In November, the company handled 802 tons of cargo and 125 tons of airmail.

The actual passenger turnover reached 4,544,730,000 passenger-kilometers in the eleven months of the year) (which was 21% better than in January-November 2009) and 301,917,000 passenger-kilometers in November.

The actual ton-kilometer turnover reached 438,323,000 ton-kilometers in January-November 2010 (which was 23% better than a year earlier) and 30,247,000 ton-kilometers in November.

The passenger load was estimated at 69% in the eleven months of 2010 (3% up against last year) and the revenue load was estimated at 64% (3% up against last year). In November, the passenger load came to 56.3% and the revenue load came to 53%. This was, respectively, 3.6% and 9% less than a year earlier.
