Ural Airlines launches flight to China

19.11.2010
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 17, 2010. Ural Airlines is about to introduce one more flight bound for China. In addition to the two weekly flights to Beijing and once-a-fortnight flight to Hainan which are already available, the air carrier is adding a third weekly flight to the Chinese capital (to be operated every Thursday) to its timetable.
‘Last year, we switched to a new departure/arrivals terminal in Beijing Airport upon our passengers’ request. When the flight was first introduced, we were only allowed to use Terminal 2 which is mainly meant for the Chinese domestically operating airlines. This is a convenient terminal for connecting flights, for example, if you intend to fly farther with some of our partners such as China South Airlines, but at the time, Terminal 2 had no duty free shop. We understood perfectly that duty free shopping is an important part of the flight, so as soon as we were given the opportunity to coordinate our new slots so as to arrive in Terminal 3, we jumped at the offer. The only remaining disadvantage of our flights to Beijing was the frequency: two flights a week was not enough. Now, however, we hope to cover both the tourist and the business demand for this destination,’ says International Transfer Sales Director Marianna Galagura.
