Sverdlovsk Region’s Residents Have RUB 100bn in Unpaid Debt

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 4, 2019. Sverdlovsk Region's residents have around RUB 100bn in unpaid debts; some RUB 35bn have been collected by court officers for banks and other lending institutions this year.

According to Sverdlovsk Region division of Russia's Federal Service of Court Officers, 300,391 locals have loan debt.

Kamyshlov is currently the most debt-burdened location in Sverdlovsk Region, with 8,281 people with loan debts living there; the figure includes 25 mortgages; the rest are micro-loans and consumer loans (total amount: RUB 1.2bn). Kamensk-Uralsky, by contrast, has 7,589 debtors living there but their overall debt burden only comes to RUB 320m.

'As for the city of Yekaterinburg, it is District Ordzhonikidzevsky where the greatest number of debtors live: their number comes to 12,434, their total debt to RUB 2.5bn. District Ordzhonikidzevsky's court officers went through with 7,545 enforcement proceedings in 2019. There are 8,937 debtors in District Chkalovsky (total debt amount: RUB 2.8bn). District Chkalovsky's court officers went through with 5,970 enforcement proceedings in 2019. There are only about 7,000 debtors in District Verkh-Isetsky and District Leninsky each (total debt amount: under RUB 2bn plus only 14 mortgages in District Verkh-Isetsky),' the service says.

At the moment, it is the resident of Kachkanar who has the greatest loan debt in Sverdlovsk Region: court officers at Sverdlovsk Region division of Russia's Federal Service of Court Officers need to collect over RUB 400m from the debtor all in all. The person with the smallest amount of debt (RUB 808.51) lives in Pervouralsk.
