The event was dedicated to the pressing issues in and development prospects of the National Qualification System for the mining and metallurgical sector.

‘The forum was coordinated by the Mining & Metallurgical Industry Professional Qualifications Council, MMK, and Personal Corporate Cadre Training Center. Representatives of some thirty metallurgical enterprises, educational establishments, and federal government bodies attended the forum’s strategic sessions. Magnitogorsk was chosen as the forum hosting location at the initiative of the Executive Director at Russia’s Mining & Metallurgical Industry Association and Chair of the Mining & Metallurgical Industry Professional Qualifications Council Alexei Okunkov.

According to Job Safety, Industrial Safety, and Environmental Issues Director at MMK Grigory Shchurov, the event’s agenda is extremely relevant, as it touches upon skilled worker training and the need to design a single teaching and continuous professional education concept.
