They also presented the latest technologies and tech solutions for the agglomeration and blast-furnace process sector as well as the best practices of the leading businesses in Russia and abroad.

The conference will continue in Magnitogorsk today. The conference participants will take a guided tour of MMK’s production site as part of the conference program. Some sixty Russian and foreign agglomeration and blast-furnace process experts will look at Sintering Plant 5 and MMK’s Blast Furnace Department.

After the tour, experts from MMK’s Senior Metallurgist’s Group will give talks on the construction of and the tech solutions used at the new sintering plant; on how the plant is approaching its full projected capacity output; and on the environmental effects of switching to new technologies and using new equipment.
