UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 8, 2019. 75 forged banknotes got detected within Sverdlovsk Region's banking system in the second quarter of 2019 (total value: RUB 312,000). According to the Central Bank of Russia's Ural division, the majority of these banknotes (59 units) were fake 5,000-ruble bills. 1,000-ruble banknotes come next (12 units), followed by 2 500-ruble bills, 2 2,000-ruble bills, and 2 U.S. Dollar bills. '193 forged Russian banknotes got detected and removed from Sverdlovsk Region's banking sector in the first half of the year altogether; this was 23% less than one year earlier, when 251 fake bills were detected,' the division says.
