ChelPipe Groupís Scrap Metal Division Starts Customer-Oriented Transformation

UrBC, Chelyabinsk, June 28, 2019. ChelPipe Group started a transformation program for META Group, its scrap metal division. Switching to a customer-oriented, digital technology-based business model will enhance the companyís business efficiency and make it one of Russiaís top three scrap metal enterprises.

According to the Groupís press service, the program will get fully implemented by 2023 and will consist of two different stages. In 2019-2021, an objective-based business process structure will get developed, and IT solutions will get introduced to control and manage the scrap metal collection and processing.

In 2022-2023, META will focus on regional development and on becoming the Russian marketís blocking stake leader. The transformation is expected to raise the companyís target EBITDA to RUB 1 billion by 2020.

This year, META intends to implement seven projects aimed at the companyís business process transformation. For one, centralizing the purchase and logistics processes will cut the companyís purchasing costs by 5% and will ensure better control over vehicle performance.
