Ural Industrial Cluster in Novouralsk To Attract New Investments

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 30, 2019. Ural Electrochemical Combine and CentroTech (both of which are parts of Rosatoms TVEL in Novouralsk, Sverdlovsk Region) set up Ural Industrial Cluster, a non-profit association, the combines press service reports.

Ural Electrochemical Combines Deputy Director-General for Non-Nuclear Business Development Oleg Yelistratov was elected the associations President. Ural Electrochemical Combines Director-General Alexander Belousov, Deputy DG Valeriy Denisov, CentroTechs Director-General Ilya Kavelashvili, and CentroTechs Deputy DG Alexander Stikhin became members of the Board.

Now the association intends to select the industrial clusters primary participants and to adopt an action plan. Ural Industrial Cluster is expected to control the key areas of expertise relevant to the development of Sverdlovsk Regions machine-building industry and necessary to ensure industrial cooperation in crucial production fields (including import substitution).

Ural Industrial Cluster will serve as the driving force for the development of member companies potential. The association will focus on product competitiveness, increase in import substitution product outputs, interregional technological cooperation, and expansion of internal and external sales markets, Oleg Yelistratov says.

According to plan, Ural Industrial Cluster will get registered as one of Russias Industry & Trade Ministrys industrial clusters by the end of 2019. The project is meant to create new jobs in Novouralsk and attract new investments.
