Raspadskaya Coal Company Gives Osinnikovsky Mining School A New Lab

2.04.2019
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 2, 2019. EVRAZ Holding’s Raspadskaya Coal Company presented the students of Osinnikovsky Mining School (OGTK) a new electro-mechanical lab, the company’s press service reports.

‘The students’s work stations have everything necessary for theoretical and practical training: electrical control panels with automatic appliances, electric engines, and special-purpose tools. The lab also has a 3D simulator of the power substation inspecting and testing routines. The simulator gets used to learn the basics of trouble-shooting. At the end of the simulator test, the software gives the student their progress evaluation,’ the press service says.

Raspadskaya Coal Company, which manages EVRAZ Holding’s coal-producing member enterprises, directed RUB 700,000 to all the appliances for the lab.

‘The fact that the company’s mining assets pay so much attention to the electricians’ training is no coincidence: we need this type of worker, and the year 2019 is actually Raspadskaya Coal Company’s Year of The Electrician. Twenty-five students are training to become electricians at the school at the moment, with an extra enrollment campaign scheduled for next year. Raspadskaya needs about eighty-five electricians all in all. The two parties also signed a partnership agreement to improve the school’s resource base, among other things. Osinnikovsky’s best alumni will get employed with the company as well. In fact, there are already 770 OGTK alumni working for us at EVRAZ mines,’ the press service says.
