UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 29, 2019. Federal Grid Company United Energy Systems (FGC UES) intends to spent RUB 1.9 billion on repairing its electric power facilities in Western Siberia this year.

According to the companys Western Siberia divisions press service, the repairs are meant to ensure more reliable power supply to end users in Tyumen Region, Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous Region, and Yamalo-Nenetsky Autonomous Region, where over 3.6 million people live.

Thirteen power equipment units, 167 switches, and 751 disconnecting devices will get repaired at our 220-kilowatt and 500-kilowatt power substations. This includes a Line 2 autotransformer unit at our 500-kilowatt Trachukovskaya Power Substation (one of Western Siberias largest power facilities). Trachukovskaya is in charge of electric power transit from Surgutskaya Power Station 2 to the oil and gas enterprises operating in the area, the press service says.

Additionally, 423 electric main supports will get reinforced, 2,000 support foundations will get repaired, and more than 7,600 new insulating units will get installed.

Some of these repair jobs will involve the 500-kilowatt electric mains that are linked to Surgutskaya Power Station 1 and Nizhnevartovskaya Power Station.

Finally, some 7,000 hectares of electric main passageways in poorly accessible, wooded/swampy locations will get cleared up to prevent power outages due to trees falling down or fires.
