Metallurg Foundation Holds End-of-Year Meeting

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, December 17, 2018. Magnitogorsk-based Metallurg Charity Foundation coordinated its annual end-of-year meeting with heads of local childrens establishments, Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) press service reports.

The meeting got attended by members of the foundations board, representatives of the benefactors (Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works being the largest), Deputy Head of Chelyabinsk Region Social Relations Ministrys Child Welfare Department Tatiana Matveyeva, Chair of the Board at Russian Childrens Foundations Chelyabinsk Region division and member of the South Ural Public Chamber Vyacheslav Skvortsov, Vice Chair of Chelyabinsk Region Legislative Assembly and Chair of the Legislation, State-Funded Construction, and Local Governance Committee Anatoly Bragin, and Head of Chelyabinsk Councils Social Welfare Department Irina Mikhailenko.

The agenda of the meeting covered a report on this years achievements and an action plan for New Year celebrations.

The foundations Director Valentin Vladimirtsev spoke about their program called 21st Century for the Southern Urals Children. The program deals in 1) supporting families whose primary breadwinners passed away due to work injuries; 2) maternity and childcare programs; 3) supporting families with three or more children; 4) supporting gifted children; 5) supporting some thirty establishments for special-needs children; and 5) supporting local residents on a case-by-case basis.

Additionally, the foundation supports sports establishments, a childrens healthcare center, Culture Palaces, and educational establishments. The organization directed RUB 232.43 million to the program in January-November 2018.
