FGC UES Coordinates Emergency Drills in Yugra

14.11.2018
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 14, 2018. Rosset’s Federal Grid Company United Energy Systems started a series of emergency and fire prevention drills in late September to keep its rescue teams ready for action in harsh climatic conditions and for efficient interaction with the federal and local authorities, FGC UES Western Siberia’s PR & Media Group reports.

‘The company will coordinate three-month drills in each and every one of its eight subsidiaries. The drills are expected to result in nearly 10,000 hectares of cleared electric main passageways to ensure reliable power supply to end users, interregional transit, and optimal performance of all the major power stations,’ the Group says.

FGC UES Western Siberia division is holding large-scale training sessions for employees of four enterprises in Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous Region-Yugra as part of the drills program.

The simulation starts off with the following: a harsh and dramatic change in the weather, high alert mode for the company’s Emergency Rescue team, and rescue operations (that is, clearing the passageways to avoid trees falling onto the electric mains).

The drills will be over on December 22, Power Engineer’s Day.
