4.04.2018
UrBC, Magnitogorsk, April 4, 2018. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) directed more than RUR 200m to workers’ (and their families’) healthcare last year; this amount included the cost of children’s stays at summer camps, among other things, MMK Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.

‘8,189 workers and their family members underwent rehabilitation treatment in 2017; 87% of these people were employees proper. The company partially covered the cost of their stays at sanatoriums and health resorts. 65% to 80% of the full amount, depending on the season and the kind of treatment prescribed, got paid by MMK. Employees’ children are entitled to a 70% coverage, and spouses to 50% coverage.

MMK employees could stay at Yubileyny Health Resort, Yuzhny Health Resort, Metallurg Sanatorium in Yessentuki, Berezka, Absakovo, and Assa. The plant allocated RUR 190.6m last year to pay for the workers’ travel and stay there. The company trade union also directed RUR 11.6m to finance its workers’ healthcare needs,’ the Department says.
