UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 30, 2018. Officers from Sverdlovsk Region division of Russia’s Federal Security Service uncovered and stopped an illegal immigration channel in the area, the service’s press office reports.

Two Tajikistan nationals have been detained under the suspicion of running an illegal immigration hub. According to the Federal Security Service, they put fabricated exit/entry border crossing stamps into the passports of foreign nationals who, in fact, never left Russia. The suspects were also allegedly engaged in making fake work permits, migration cards, and other papers.

‘A search of the suspects’ workplaces and homes in District Zheleznodorozhny, Yekaterinburg revealed a laboratory for making forged migration papers; the officers confiscated fabricated entry/exit border crossing stamps, Tajikistan registry office stamps and stamps from Tajikistan’s educational establishments, some fifty fake work permits, over five hundred migration card forms, laminators, computer equipment with electronic samples of documents, and hologram-making appliances,’ the press office says.

Investigative Committee of Russia’s Federal Security Service’s Sverdlovsk Region division took criminal action, with charges of organizing illegal migration (Article 322.1 (Part 2, Paragraph A) of the Russian Federation Criminal Code).
