UBRD Directs RUR 3.7m to Support Children

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 24, 2017. The Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development (UBRD) looked into the results of its Children Believe in Miracles Charity Program in the first half of the year. The bank coordinated 53 charity events and directed over RUR 3.7m to support orphaned children and children with disabilities.

According to the bank’s press service, some of the money got spent on supplies for live-in schools, social centers, and creches for children without parents.

‘We bought necessary things like game appliances, furniture, school supplies, hygienic items, sports equipment, and medicines,’ the press service says.

The UBRD also kept working to help children get ready for later life. The bank coordinated a series of workshops aimed to help the teenagers grow more confident and to prevent their teachers’ burnout. There’s also Cinemalogia Project, where children analyze films to learn from the characters’ behavior. Yet another project takes children on tours of industrial enterprises where they can learn about blue-collar jobs and try to do some of the tasks themselves.

The UBRD currently supports fifty children’s organizations in nine Russian federal constituencies, with over 4,000 children aged 3 to 17 as members of Children Believe in Miracles Program.
