Russian Copper Company Presents School-Starters with Backpacks and Supplies

4.09.2017
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 4, 2017. Russian Copper Company’s Charity Fund presented school-starters from Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk Regions with backpacks and school supplies they need for their studies, the company press service reports.

‘770 children from cities and towns in Chelyabinsk Region where the company runs its enterprises received school-starting presents all in all; some presents were also given to children supported by charity organizations in Yekaterinburg. Children from Karabash, Kyshtym, Tominsky, and Varna all went to school with backpacks, folders, and school supplies provided by our company,’ the press service says.

‘Getting ready for school, especially in the very first year, is always not only exciting but also expensive. We are happy to help hundreds of families provide their seven-year-olds with great quality school supplies,’ says Russian Copper Company’s Vice President for HR & CSR Anna Shabarova.

The company representatives say the backpacks were made in the Urals by the company’s special order. They meet all the health requirements (hard back, ergonomic straps, fluorescent patches, and reliable fittings) set out for young children’s school bags. There are enough school supplies in every backpack to last a school-starter for one year.

Russian Copper Company’s Charity Fund’s Board of Trustees is currently chaired by Tatiana Altushkina.
