South Urals CCI To Work with Internal Affairs Ministry

UrBC, Chelyabinsk, August 1, 2017. Russia’s Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Internal Affairs Ministry signed a cooperation agreement, the South Urals CCI’s press service reports.

The agreement will allow the regional CCIs and law-enforcement authorities to work more closely in the field of migrant policy.

According to the South Urals Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s First Vice President Igor Aristov, working with the Internal Affairs Ministry mainly means keeping track of the current migrant problems, helping to improve respective laws, and creating mechanisms to attract highly skilled foreign-born workers, business people, and investors to Russia.

‘We intend to include Chelyabinsk Region’s business community in the discussion on current compliance practices and in drafting legal improvement proposals. We also plan to improve our visa support of foreign workers employed at local subsidiaries of international companies, which is the function CCIs are entitled to perform based on the existing CCI legislation,’ Aristov said.
