19.07.2017
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 19, 2017. Russian Copper Company’s Kyshtym Copper Electrolysis Plant celebrated its 260th anniversary on Metallurgist’s Day, the company press service reports.

‘The festivities began with a special program for the plant’s long-service employees. Around a hundred former workers were invited to a special reception at the company club. The plant’s Deputy DG Vladimir Semin and Chair of the Long-Service Employees’ Council Valeriy Klepcha congratulated their guests on the special date and talked about how the plant is operating these days. The former employees also went on a guided tour of the plant’s up-to-date production departments. There were 34 people on the tour altogether; the oldest one, Gennady Kisselev, is 82. Kisselev worked at the plant for 57 years,’ the press service says.

According to the plant’s Director-General Andrei Kudryavtsev, this Doors Open Day is probably the most important event on the festivities agenda, as the older generations of workers can feel part of the team again; besides, this helps ensure the continuity of the skills and the right job spirit at the plant.

Russian Copper Company coordinated a special show by Uralskiye Pelmeni at Pobeda Culture Palace as a present for the Kyshtym Copper Electrolysis Plant team and for workers from other member enterprises (Karabashmed and Mauksky Mine). The tickets were presented to the companies’ best 250 employees.
