561,000 RUR Worth of Commodities Confiscated in Urals

18.05.2017
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 18, 2017. Officers working for Sverdlovsk Region division of Rospotrebnadzor (the state consumer rights watchdog) had 470 consumer items worth 561,000 RUR confiscated, the agency’s press service reports.

The primary reason behind the confiscation was lack of documentation to prove that the goods in question meet the existing legislative requirements. Officers inspected 1,450 items all in all, including children’s clothing, clothes for grownups, footwear, and various accessories.

Rospotrebnadzor’s officers carried out scheduled and unscheduled inspections at seventy-five stores selling all kinds of commodities. Problems were detected at fifty-six sites, which comes to 75.6% of the entire number of shops inspected.
