New Children’s Book Release at Ural Vagon Zavod

27.01.2017
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 27, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant recently published a number of new books for children and teens: The Adventures of A Little Tank and Ural Vagon Zavod Tanks came out directly after Legends of Ural Vagon Zavod hit all school libraries in Nizhniy Tagil in September 2016.

According to the company press service, the plant’s Executive Director Vladimir Roschupkin was the primary driving and coordinating force for the project.

The Adventures of A Little Tank were written by the children’s author Svetlana Lavrova, who also wrote Legends of Ural Vagon Zavod. Lavrova created exciting tales about the formidable combat tanks that are suitable for a preschool audience. The book takes the young readers and their parents, guided by a boy named Daniel and his little toy tank, on a journey to Ural Vagon Zavod Armored Vehicle Museum.

‘The little tank gets accidentally locked up in a hangar for the night and gets to meet his legendary ‘grandpas’ T-34-76 and T-34-85 as well as their more up-to-date versions T-54, T-72, BREM, and T-90. The tanks present their life stories and adventures. The enormous T-90 talks about its trips to India and adventures in the Thar Desert and in the impassable rainforests. Olga Lavrukhina’s wonderful pictures unfold the story into a saga full of captivating, catchy, reader-engaging, discussion-provoking details,’ the press service says.
