9.11.2016
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 9, 2016. The number of the Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development’s e-banking users rose by 22% between September 2015 and September 2016, the bank’s press service reports.

Additionally, the number of online transactions (including those involving information services) went up by 64%. This means the bank’s private customers prefer to handle their finances without setting foot outside their homes increasingly more often.

According to the bank’s data, customers who have salary accounts with the UBRD use online banking services more often than other customer categories, with their share going up from 45% to 51% in the course of one year. Mostly, online transactions are payments and card-to-card transfers: these make up 54% of all transaction types. The overall number of e-banking operations went up by 86%, including a 54% increase in the number of online payments and a 182% increase in the number of card-to-card transfers.

‘Customers are choosing time-saving practices, as it is easier to put some money in, say, their parents’ bank account in just three minutes using our e- and m-banking options than to actually go to one of our branches and face waiting lines. Internet banking allows you to chip in for a friend’s birthday gift, pay someone back, donate to charity right there and then. What is more, the bank doesn’t charge you anything for card-to-card transfers, even the UBRD cardholder lives outside Sverdlovsk Region. Also, our mobile app makes it possible to manage one’s funds and accounts literally on the go,’ says UBRD Online Sales Director Denis Tur.
