ChTPZ Group Students to Study at UFU

20.10.2016
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 20, 2016. Twenty-seven employees of ChTPZ Group’s Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ), including fourteen alumni of the Group’s Future of White Metallurgy Corporate Training Program, enrolled at Pipe Technologies & Equipment Department at Ural Federal University and are now studying for their Bachelor’s degrees. The off-campus department was set up on the plant’s premises.

According to the Group’s PR Department, it will take the new students three years and two months to get qualifications in Power Engineering, Metallurgy, and Technological Equipment.

This year, there were more than four candidates applying for each position, with the average score of 150 points (compared with 3.7 candidates and 111 points in 2015). They had to sit entrance exams in mathematics, physics, and Russian, attend an assessment interview, and do tests in engineering and logical reasoning.

The chance to study for a Bachelor’s degree without having to quit their jobs is available to ChTPZ Group’s Future of White Metallurgy alumni with secondary vocational education, employees on the company’s Power of White Metallurgy Skill Pool Program, and young workers with an outstanding performance record.
