New Driving School Regulations to Increase Costs 25%

31.08.2016
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 31, 2016. Once the new driving test regulations come into effect, the costs of going to a driving school might increase by 20% to 25%, President of Ural Driving Schools Association Georgiy Kovalenko said at a press conference in Yekaterinburg.

The new rules come into effect on September 1. For one, the road police will now have to sign special contracts with the driving schools in order to use their facilities for driving tests.

According to Kovalenko, there are currently only three driving schools in Yekaterinburg that have their own automobile tracks that meet all the existing requirements and are thus fit for driving tests coordinated by the police. The rest of the schools will have to negotiate contracts with these three in order to use their sites.
