Yekaterinburg: Job market shrinks 15%

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 11, 2015. The number of vacancies on Yekaterinburg job market went down by 15% in November 2015 compared with a year earlier, while the number of CVs rose by 21%, Superjob.ru reports.

The number of vacancies in the logistics and maintenance sector decreased by 30% compared with a year earlier, that in the law sector by 27%. At the same time, there are now 28% more job openings in marketing and advertising and 13% more in the purchasing sector. Also, the number of vacancies rose by 17% in the insurance sector, by 14% in the raw stuffs industry, and by 10% in the IT sector.

The number of blue-collar job-seekers doubled in the course of the year, that of CVs submitted in the entertainment industry segment soared by 75%, and that of people looking for jobs in insurance went up by 68%. On the other hand, there are now 13%, 12%, and 7% fewer job-seekers in the education, banking, and marketing and advertising sectors, respectively.

Yekaterinburg labor market’s average supply and demand ratio currently comes to 4 CVs per job opening, which is 0.4 points more than a month earlier.
