ChTZ improves Pk 70 loader

20.10.2015
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 20, 2015. Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant/ChTZ (a member enterprise of Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation) is going to make an upgraded PK 70 loading tractor with a range of extra options by order of a mining company.

According to the corporation’s press service, the plant design engineers have completed all the development work and directed their files to the production departments so that the first sample of a new loader could be made. If this sample proves successful with the customer, the plant might get an order for a set of such loading tractors.

Alexander Bobrenev from the plant’s Engineering & Technological Center says the customer used to rely on the leading foreign loader manufacturers, but now they are trying to go for import substitution. Therefore the idea is to get the most powerful from the family of ChTZ loaders, and with a wider set of functions. So the customer is willing to wait for a special make of PK 70K (a loader with a quick coupler).

The mining company needs a 7,000-kg strong loader for loading rock mass onto railcars, clearing winter roads, and infrastructure maintenance and development.

According to Bobrenev, the custom-made truck will be longer than its prototype and therefore more stable even with a special heavy-duty scoop in use. Two cylinder actuators make sure the tractor operator can lift the scoop very high up if necessary. It is with the help of a quick coupler that this scoop can be easily attached to the lift arm.
