Yekaterinburg housing prices drop 2.7%

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 26, 2015. The average price per square meter on Yekaterinburg existing homes market came to 74,178 RUR on June 22. This is 0.9% less than four weeks ago and 2.7% less than at the beginning of the year, Ural Real Estate Chamber reports.

Prices went down in nearly all of the market segments expect for the centrally located apartments, for which prices rose by 0.6% in the course of last month. Homes in the city’s most expensive area are now sold for 99,973 RUR per m2, whereas those in the least expensive locations on the outskirts are now 2.7% cheaper and are offered for 54,979 RUR per m2. The average per-square-meter housing prices in Yekaterinburg’s second and third most expensive locations dropped to 68,189 RUR and 64,285 RUR, respectively. Apartments just outside downtown are sold for 78,899 RUR per m2 (-0.6% on six months earlier).

Apartments in buildings that were put up relatively recently are offered for 65,674 RUR to 81,687 RUR per m2 (0.6% to 1.3% cheaper than earlier). Homes in the buildings from the Khrushchev and Brezhnev eras (that is, they were put up in the sixties and the seventies) are sold for 69,141 RUR per m2; homes in the buildings that date back to the eighties are sold for 68,274 RUR per m2.
