June 6, 2014. Yekaterinburg was promoted from the 6th to the 3d position in the rating of Russian cities that assesses their development. Krasnodar and Tyumen are in the first and the second places, respectively, Expert magazine's research states. According to the magazine, the median monthly pay in Yekaterinburg comes to 37,190 RUR, the total budget spending per capita is 25,456 RUR, 1,075 RUR are spent on culture and sports, 11,768 RUR are spent on education, 4,003 RUR are spent on transportation and roads, and the retail trade turnover is 470,900 RUR.
