320m RUR to be allocated from Sverdlovsk Region budget to set up 23 multi-purpose centers

29.08.2013
August 29, 2013. 23 multi-purpose centers are expected to be launched in Sverdlovsk Region before the end of the year; the centers will provide all kinds of bureaucratic services to the locals. This network will cost 320m RUR to build, Sverdlovsk Region Economics Minister Dmitri Nozhenko said at a press conference today.

This money will be directed to personnel training, staff salaries (there will be 1,200 people working there), and the setting up of the branches. Automobiles fitted with all the necessary equipment will be provided for people living in very remote parts of the area.

19 agreements on cooperation with the federal executive bodies and 16 agreements on cooperation with Sverdlovsk Region executive bodies are expected to be signed before the end of this year.

At the moment, most of the issues relating to the introduction of these multi-purpose centers in the area have to do with personnel training and the setting up of the branches, says Igor Babkin, Head of the Multi-Purpose Government & Municipal Services Center. He also comments on the low speed at which certain town councils have been handing this function over to the branches.

82 centers are expected to be set up by the end of 2015.

A multi-purpose center is an organization that is supposed to offer the locals the government and municipal services they need through contacting just one clerk and without having to go from one establishment to another. These centers are expected to cut down on the waiting lines.
