ChTPZ Group Educational Center students meet Education & Science Minister

26.08.2013
August 26, 2013. On August 21, the national team of WorldSkills Russia met with the Russian Education & Science Minister Dmitri Livanov in Moscow; the meeting was dedicated to the results of the worldwide championship WorldSkills International that took place in Leipzig on July 2-7, and to the ways of improving vocational education in Russia. The meeting was attended by students of Pervouralsk Metallurgical College who are on ChTPZ Future of White Metallurgy Program: Alexander Litvinenko and Artur Islamov.

The minister said taking part in the championship should help the participants learn from their foreign partners’ experience.

‘The Russian students joining WorldSkills will help us understand what skills their foreign counterparts have, as their efforts result in great labor productivity, and this experience will definitely prove useful for both the students in particular and Russia’s entire vocational education system in general,’ Livanov said.

According to Litvinenko and Islamov, the main problem the Russian contestants had to face while preparing for the championship was lack of the up-to-date equipment that would meet the WorldSkills requirements for the students to practice and master the job.
