16.07.2013
July 16, 2013. The Nevyansk Tower Museum is now joining a multimedia contest Russia 10: the contest is aimed at selecting Russia's ten most recognized tourist landmarks.

'At the moment, Nevyansk Tower is in the 58th place, but the voting situation changes every day. We have to make every effort to make sure this symbol of the Urals becomes the symbol of Russia as well,' Tourism Development Center Director Elmira Tukanova said at a press conference in Yekaterinburg.

According to Sverdlovsk Region's Culture Minister Pavel Krekov, this museum meets all the necessary international standards, so it has everything to be a success.

'The Nevyansk Tower is a very popular tourist landmark. Positioning it on the market and drawing the people's attention to it will draw more tourists into the area. We are quite interested in increasing the quantity of those,' Krekov said.

According to Mayor of Nevyansk Evgeny Kayumov, winning this contest will improve the image of both the town and the Urals on the whole, which will promote investment and result in this landmark becoming recognized by the whole country.
