February 26, 2013. 97% of Chelyabinsk buildings that were damaged by a meteorite on February 15 got restored, Chelyabinsk Council’s press service refers to the officials at the regional cabinet’s meeting as saying. According to Mayor Sergey Davydov, the restoration work is still under way, and all the essential establishments resumed business as usual. ‘Nearly all the window panes have been replaced at schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and apartment buildings. It is true, however, that not all the window frames are ready just yet. Replacing the windows at sports clubs or other buildings with large or stained-glass windows turned out to be a real problem,’ Davydov admitted.
