Rostourism might look into Pegas Touristik
3 March 2011 (09:20)
The renewal of Pegas-Touristik’s chartered flights to Egypt was cancelled recently.
The tour operator’s earlier decision was greeted with strong resentment on the part of Rostourism.
The company reports that the flights that were supposed to have been operated from Moscow to Hurghada and from Moscow to Sharm El Sheikh cannot actually be operated for reasons beyond the tour operator’s control.
Pegas promises to give the tourists their money back in full. All in all, about six hundred people had meant to fly to Egypt.
Head of Rostourism press service Oleg Moseyev told Echo Mosckvy (a radio station) that Pegas Touristik’s sending travelers to Egypt would soon be investigated, as the recommendations made by Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Rostourism to stay away from the troubled region are still valid.
