Yekaterinburg’s airport allowed to host A 340, Boeing 777

Yekaterinburg’s international airport was allowed to host A340 and Boeing 777 aircraft and their modifications on its premises. The provision to this extents was signed by Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko recently.

What is more, the airport can now let in planes of the types Fokker 50, Saab 340, Pilatus PC-12 and their modifications; these airplane types are usually used for local area flights.

The permission to let in certain aircraft types was put down in Yekaterinburg’s Koltsovo Airport’s Operation & Maintenance Certificate and sent out to all the parties interested.

All this means that Yekaterinburg’s airport can now host fifty-six aircraft types made both in Russia and abroad, including eight kinds of IL planes, five types of TU planes, three varieties of YaK aircraft, four types of AN planes, seven kinds of Airbus planes and their modifications, six types of Boeing planes and their modifications, three varieties of Embraer aircaraft, two kinds of ATR planes, and some others, Koltsovo Airport’s press officer says.
