15 July 2010 (09:36)

The 6th International Defence Expo is to be held in Nizhniy Tagil State Arms & Military Equipment Exhibition Center of Nizhniy Tagil Metal Testing Institute on July 14, 2010.

The idea behind the exhibition is to demonstrate the industrial achievements in new designs and technologies, to help the companies expand their sales markets, and to promote the companies’ produce at home and abroad.

This year, over 250 Russian enterprises from twenty-nine Russian regions are expected to take part in the event, and over 200 foreign experts are expected to visit the exhibition. In addition, 250 companies from thirty-five different countries will probably pay a visit – this is 30% more than a year earlier.

‘The guests to the exhibition will have a big business agenda as always. In addition to demonstrating the military and maintenance capacity of our defense achievements, the participants (and the guests) will take part in a number of discussions, round table talks, and seminars coordinated by the organization committee and the companies themselves. For one, the Ural division of Russia’s Ministry of Emergencies is to hold a session dedicated to the ministry’s 20th anniversary, while the defense enterprises representatives will meet to discuss the problem of information security at their companies,’ says General Director of Nizhniy Tagil Metal Testing Institute Valeriy Rudenko.

The event will be attended by Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Alexander Misharin, Head of Sverdlovsk Region Government Anatoly Gredin, and a number of Russian Federation Government officials as well as the representatives of the federal authorities.
