USUE has no claims over land, UFU Rector says

‘The administration of Ural State University of Economics (USUE) cannot possibly claim any advantage over the land allotment in Shartash area of Yekaterinburg because this territory has been reserved for Ural Federal University’s campus. Everything related to overall planning and design documentation is being handled by Ural University Complex run by Alexander Salamatin. This business has no connection with USUE whatsoever. The better part of the allotment in question belongs to the federal authorities, with smaller portions of municipal and regional land. In whichever case, this land belongs to the public, the state, and the city,’ Rector of Ural Federal University Viktor Koksharov announced at a press conference in Yekaterinburg.

Meanwhile, President of Great Eurasian University Complex and Rector of Ural State University of Economics Mikhail Fedorov said earlier that the projected Great Eurasian University was entitled to some 1,500 hectares of land in Shartash.
