Sverdlovsk Region to get new ministers

22 December 2009 (12:32)

It has been suggested that Viktor Koltunyuk, Vladimir Vlasov, and Anatoly Levchenko should become Sverdlovsk Region’s Ministers for Finance, Social Policy, and State Property Management, respectively.

Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Alexander Misharin and Head of Sverdlovsk Region Government Anatoly Gredin keep recruiting a new Cabinet. The proposals for the new Ministers for Finance, Social Policy, and State Property Management were officially presented to the region’s Duma on December 21, 2009.

Under Sverdlovsk Region’s Charter, the Duma must either support or turn down these proposals.

Vladimir Vlasov used to be Deputy Head of Sverdlovsk Region Government for Social Policy within the previous Governor’s Administration. Viktor Koltunyuk was Deputy Head of Sverdlovsk Region Railways. Anatoly Levchenko is a former head of South Ural and Kuibyshev Railways.

The nominees proposed by the executive branch will be talked about at the deputy groups and Duma committees meetings. An extraordinary plenary session has been scheduled for December 24, 2009.
