Governor Misharin to return flights to Hungary
15 December 2009 (11:28)
Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Alexander Misharin met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Russia Georg Gilian.
The Ambassador’s visit to the Urals had to do with the opening of the Hungarian Office in Yekaterinburg. This is a cultural and information agency designed to gradually become one of the major contributors to the two nations’ international cooperation and co-adaptation.
Alexander Misharin suggested looking into a number of possible joint projects, particularly the ones that would benefit the social field. These projects are related to road construction (for instance, building an orbital motorway around the town of Bogdanovitch, Sverdlovsk Region) and putting up some healthcare facilities (including the second extension to the region’s TB dispensary).
The Governor emphasized the need for expanding the two parties’ cultural and tourist connections and called for the return of direct flights from Yekaterinburg to Hungary.
