Siberia, Transaero, and Vladivostok Avia delay most flights

2,700 flights operated by Russian airlines were delayed by over two hours between July 3, 2009 and November 20, 2009. In 1,184 cases, it was the carrier’s fault, Rosaviation reports.


The top five companies whose flights were delayed most often were Siberia, with its 136 delayed flights, Transaero, with its 97 delayed flights, Vladivostok Avia, with its 74 delayed flights, Sky Express, with its 61 delayed flights, and Utair, with its 60 delayed flights. Aeroflot was actually given the seventh position on this list.


All in all, Russian carriers were responsible for the delay of 1,500 flights in 2009.
