Autoland Holding might lose monopoly

Autoland Holding might no longer be Yekaterinburg’s only official Ford dealer:
‘Ford Motor Company is trying to build its share of the Russian market on the whole and of Yekaterinburg one in particular. This is why Ford is now coordinating a tender for another dealer in Yekaterinburg,’ Ford Motor Company’s PR Director Ekaterina Kulinenko said to an UrBC reporter.
‘Preference will be given to candidates with some successful experience of doing car business in the region, provided they produce some documented proof of their rights over the land allotment and the buildings that they plan to use for the show room. They will also have to prove their stable financial status. I believe we’ll be able to introduce our new official dealer in Yekaterinburg in October 2009,’ she added.
As a matter of fact, Autoland Holding sold its Autoland Sever show room at 6 Kosmonavtov Ave. in Yekaterinburg. This show room used to be Ford’s official dealer. The company then explained the sale had to do with their recession-fighting restructuring policies targeted at improving business process and increasing profitability.
