MMK Turns 88

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, February 3, 2020. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) was founded 88 years ago on February 1, the company’s Information & PR Department reports. ‘The plant’s first blast furnace produced its first batch of cast-iron on February 1, 1932. This was the day the enterprise was born. The following year (July 1933) the plant’s first open-hearth furnace got launched as well, and once Section Mill 500 started operating in August 1934, MMK turned into a full-metallurgical-cycle enterprise processing 25% of all of the iron ore made in the USSR, as well as 12% of pig iron

EVRAZ Gets New Vehicles for Mines

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 3, 2020. Three new crew vehicles meant for employee transfer arrived at EVRAZ Raspadskaya Coal Company’s Alardinskaya Mine last month. The buses were custom-made at Ural Automotive Plant in full compliance with Raspadskaya Coal Company’s new standards. ChelPipe Group to Compete in Worldskills Russia
