EVRAZ Supplies Metal Goods for Student Olympics 2019

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 25, 2017. Last year, EVRAZ Holding supplied some 5,000,000 kg of metal goods for the construction of sports facilities for the upcoming Student Olympics 2019, the company press service reports. EVRAZ Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works’ H-beams and EVRAZ West-Siberian Metallurgical Plant’s rolled section steel were shipped to the construction site of Raduga Sports Center in Krasnoyarsk in December. Viktor Lesh Appointed Sinara Transport Machines’ DG

Sinara Group’s Sinara Transport Machines Board of Directors appointed former First Deputy Director-General Viktor Lesh the company’s Director-General, the Group’s press service reports. Viktor Lesh graduated from Ural State Technical University (now Ural Federal University) with a degree in Engineering. He worked in managerial positions at Nasostechmash, United Machine-Building Plants, and Neftegazovye Systemy in 1997-2007. Sverdlovsk Region: Industrial Production Down 1.9%

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 25, 2017. Sverdlovsk Region’s industrial production market shrank by 1.9% in December 2016 compared with one year earlier, Sverdlovskstat reports. On the other hand, the companies’ output figures rose by 7% in 2016 compared with the year 2015. For one, the output of companies operating in the processing industry sector rose by 7.8%, that of fossil developers rose by 1%, and that of housing services and utilities providers rose by 9.5%.

Sverdlovsk Region: Builders’ Turnover Down 2.7%

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 25, 2017. Last year, Sverdlovsk Region-based businesses’ turnover rose by 2.7% on average compared with the year 2015, Sverdlovskstat reports. Hotels’ turnover rose by 8.3%, that of agricultural businesses by 7.4%, that of companies in the processing industries by 4.6%, and that of housing services and utilities providers by 4%. At the same time, retail and whole-trade sellers’ turnover dropped by 0.3% and that of construction companies by 2.7%.

Russia: Alcohol Consumption Down 1.5 Times

Russia’s alcohol consumption dropped by 1.5 times compared with the year 2009, Rospotrebnadzor’s press service reports. ‘It has been estimated that per capita strong drinks consumption comes to over 10 liters a year (15 liters in 2015). According to the World Health Organization, anything above 8 liters per capita a year is detrimental to a given country’s overall population health,’ the press service says.
