Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s Omsk Transport Machine-Building Plant competed the first stage of its machining facilities retooling program by purchasing twenty-one up-to-date mills, the company press service reports. The retooling program means the plant will eventually stop using its older machines altogether and start making most of the necessary parts on numerically controlled mills. NC mills have been introduced at several production sections so far, including the caterpillar chain department.
