Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (ChTPZ) had its weldless hot-rolled pipe department upgraded; a new bandsawing machine UMSY 600SP, which cost around 15m RUR, was launched there, ChTPZ Group’s press service reports. The new equipment is meant for cutting solid billets, pipes, and sections (diameter up to 600mm) made of various metals and alloys. The machine’s capacity comes to 100m per minute.
