UMMC opponent's detention extended till July 22, 2014

April 24, 2014. Tverskoy Court of Moscow extended eco-activist Igor Zhitenev's detention until July 22, 2014, In Protection of Khoper, a website, states. Igor Zhitenev is accused of extorting money from Ural Mining & Mountain Company representative (the charge is based on Article 163 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code). The claim against him and Mikhail Bezmensky was laid by UMMC Counselor to Director-General Petr Yamov. LEPSE assesses efficiency of collective agreement in 2013

MMK to save 50m RUR on energy resources

April 24, 2014. The total economic effect resulting from energy-saving measures implemented by Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) in 2013 is expected to amount to more than 49.5m RUR over a twelve-month period, MMK PR Department reports.
