ChTZ to get high-precision check station

May 30, 2013. A high-precision Zeiss check station will be installed at Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant’s cutting-edge technologies production site, Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s press service reports (ChTZ is a member of the corporation). It is reported that this modern piece of equipment was produced in Germany at the famous Zeiss enterprise that is well-known for the great quality of the tools it makes. The measuring accuracy of the machine is estimated at 3.7 microns: no other check tool that the plant’s metrologists are using at the moment is as precise as that.

Uralvagonzavod to invest over 11bn RUR in development in 2013

May 30, 2013. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s head plant drew up a list of its investment priorities. This year, the company intends to direct 11.4bn RUR to the development of Uralvagonzavod, the corporation’s press service reports. Uralvagonzavod is currently implementing over 35 different projects and programs, and about 15 are being elaborated at the moment. Last year, the Nizhniy Tagil-based plant’s development budget amounted to nearly 4.5bn RUR, which is about 20% more than the record-setting figure for 2011 – 3.7bn RUR. Ural Diesel Engine Plant installs new testing facility

May 30, 2013. Ural Diesel-Motor Plant (a member of Sinara Transport Machines) started the erection supervision work at the testing stand for the single-cylinder unit of a diesel engine. All the jobs are done within the framework of Dieselstroy, a state-funded special purpose program, the enterprise’s press service reports. Mikheyevsky Project celebrates 1st anniversary

May 30, 2013. The construction of Russian Copper Company’s largest facility – Mikheyevsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise in Chelyabinsk Region – started one year ago today. Moscow-Yekaterinburg high speed railway link to go through Ufa

May 30, 2013. A high-speed railway link that is supposed to connect Moscow, Kazan, and Yekaterinburg will go through Ufa. This decision was made after Russia’s President Vladimir Putin’s meeting with President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports. A group of experts is expected to arrive in Bashkortostan very soon in order to discuss the technicalities relating to building the link. A special bifurcation leading to Ufa will be constructed, which will connect the capital of Bashkortostan with the country’s largest cities through a modern railway link.
