Sverdlovsk Region Government and the regional towns’ mayors are to present their proposals on locating an industrial park in Severny Administrative District in addition to creating a similar site in Krasnoturinsk. Yekaterinburg to Spend 130m RUR on New Trams

February 8, 2013. 130m RUR will be allocated from Yekaterinburg budget to buy new tramways in 2014, the official city portal states. The new trams will be purchased in preparation for the World Cup 2018. Renovating the fleet of local trams is expected to take several years. It has not been decided yet just what the technical specifications and the price of the trams should be. Yekaterinburg actually used to get only 3 to 4 new trams a year. All in all, the city has got 243 new buses, 20 trams, 18 trolley-buses, and 8 new underground carriages in the last six years.
